I am a special education teacher ready to retire, about to become an empty nester... ready for the next chapter! I consider myself to be kind, compassionate, intelligent, creative, nurturing, articulate, and looking forward to exploring what life offers. I am interested in finding a man who is evolved on all levels... emotionally, intellectually, spiritually (which does not necessarily mean he has to be religious) who is funny, and wants a loving, fun partner to share life's journeys. |

Hi, nFirst, let me introduce myself. I am tall, very tanned now because I'm in Brasil until the middle of February. I have been visiting friends and teaching a little ESL just to pass the time. The community I am in now is called Recreio, just a little south of Rio. You should visit this wonderful place, but if you do, be sure to have a loving partner with you, it's very Romantic. I'm alone, wouldn't recommend it though.nI am divorced, but I still have a friendship with the mother of my children. Retired. Have been an empty nester for a few years now. Traveled some and love it and want to continue and yes, with someone who also loves the adventure of traveling. I am thinking of taking beginning Spanish lesson in Barcelona this fall and looking very forward to it too.nI consider myself very compassionate and passionate...intelligent, creative...I play the guitar, love the Spanish guitar, love poetry and good books. I have 7 chapters so far in a story I'm writing. May never be published, but it's fun. Kindness is paramount, I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve and yes, it has been stepped on, but I wouldn't want it any other way. Nurturing is something that doesn't even need to be said. A woman never needs to ask that question if she is with a man who already knows this, yes? I try to be articulate, but like most of us, I do trip on words sometimes...nMy spirituality is something very dear to me. I see it in the eyes of a baby, a sunset, a beautiful flower and also a beautiful woman. I think I'm funny, but I don't tell jokes, I do laugh at myself though. And least but surely not last, the journey "does" start with one single step and I hope I just made it.nHope to talk soon.....hugs Joen(I like your picture on the opening page of this site, but you don't have one here)
